My Background and Inspiration

Welcome to my page! This website is a basic overview of my accomplishments, displaying my work and style. As a 23 year old from Sunny California, I have always been inspired by fashion as it is one of the first features we see when approaching someone new. I grew up reading and collecting magazines with one of my best friends who also had a similar interest in design. We would cut out our favorite looks, scenes, and products in our Teen Vogues and InStyle magazines to create collages and mood boards for fun. As the years went on, and I was growing up in the 21st century, I had became enticed by the ever-changing, glamorous, luxurious styles and designs that many of our most beloved designers had spent years creating and devising over for days on end. I knew then, that I had discovered a passion for making and creating such extravagant art, that practice was in order. Attending many art classes while in school, I understood the time, patience, and passion one must have to create, is a beauty in it-self. As Inspiration struck throughout high school and into college, I took up photography and captured some stellar images. (pictured in "my photography") As I travelled and simply lived life, I documented these scenes in my mind and through a 50mm telephoto lens. I was also intrigued to try and capture a different mind space and different perspective of this same scene, which is where I took up painting. I have always loved arts and crafts: from sculpting, to drawing, to creating and appreciating this wonderful form, I wanted to make my own stamp on the world and create something I could see and write my name on proudly. Thus, I started painting scenes I had previously taken pictures of. These paintings can be found in "my art".
